El Paramillo del Quindío, pico nevado cuyo glaciar ha desaparecido, ofrece un paisaje donde los colores contrastan, del verde de las algas que habitan los pantanos en su antiguo cráter, hasta arenas ocres y blancas donde otrora se asentaba la nieve. Su cima de 4830 m.s.n.m. nos ofrece la vista desde la altura donde los cóndores vigilan pacientemente. El camino por el Cañón hecho por la quebrada Cárdenas, con lagunas y frailejones vigilados por piedras gigantes clavadas en las montañas se convierteen un espectáculo sin par, antes de llegar al pico mas alto del Quindío.
